The students and families of Omaha Public Schools are always at the forefront of Keegan's mind in her work and her community outreach efforts. Keegan believes that strong public schools mean strong, vibrant communities and the success of public schools impacts us all; from our local economy to the sustainability and growth of talent and skilled workers in our community.
Currently, Keegan works in the non-profit sector in collaboration with many city agencies helping to integrate technology and innovative solutions around increased and equitable transportation. Keegan says she "brings the human side to tech," by collaborating with stakeholders and through clear communication and engagement. She intends to bring this skill set to the table while running for, and potentially serving on the Omaha Public Schools Board of Education.
Keegan serves as the Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Omaha Public Library, was a founding member of the Board of Directors for Felius Cat Café, and is the mentor of an incredible young woman through Girls Inc. of Omaha.
